Studio & Accessibility​​

  • Where is Riviera Beauty located?
    Bringing The Riviera to Downend Highstreet, you'll find us at 6 Badminton Road, Downend, Bristol, BS16 6BQ

  • Is the studio wheelchair accessible?
    The studio is located at the top of a flight of stairs with a left-side handrail. Unfortunately, our studio is not wheelchair accessible. If you require assistance, please get in touch prior to your visit and we will be more than happy to assist.

​

  • Is parking available?
    The nearest car park is Co-Op (free to customers) which is around a 1 minute walk away. Alternatively, there is additional street parking available nearby - please ensure to check local signage before parking.

  • Can I bring a friend or family member to my appointment?
    Due to the intimate nature of our studio, we kindly ask that you arrive solo, although plus 1s are welcome! Please note, makeup lessons, masterclasses and colour analysis services are exclusive to the client only, unless booked and paid as a 'double' service, or a parent/ guardian attending with under 16s.

Availability & Scheduling​​

  • What days are you open?
    As an appointment-only studio, we’re open exclusively for pre-booked clients - please ensure you arrange your visit in advance. Appointments are available Monday-Sunday.

  • How far in advance can I book?

       - Makeup bookings, makeup lessons, colour analysis, brow design : up to 4 months

       - Bridal bookings : up to 2 years

​

  • How soon should I book my appointment?
    We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for Saturdays, prom season and Christmas. If your preferred date is unavailable, we're more than happy to add you to our cancellation list.

Bookings & Payments​​

  • How do I book an appointment?
    Please note, we are a bookings-only studio and all appointments must be made in advance.Bookings are available via:

  • How do I pay the deposit?
    Deposits are paid via bank transfer which are deducted from the final balance.
    – All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
    – We’ll hold your appointment for 24 hours; after this time, the appointment  may be released.

​

  • When is the final balance due?

       - General bookings : on the day, via bank transfer or cash

       - Bridal : 4 weeks before the wedding

​

  • What happens if Rivera Beauty cancels my appointment?
    In the extremely rare event we need to cancel, you'll be offered a new appointment date, or a full refund of your deposit.

Services & Packages​​

  • What services do you offer?
    We offer bespoke makeup artistry, brow design, makeup lessons, masterclasses, colour analysis and image coaching. Please visit our services page for full details.

  • Do you offer mobile makeup services?
    Sophie offers a mobile service for bridal parties and photoshoots, including international travel, such as destination weddings. All other bookings are carried out at our studio in Downend, Bristol.

  • Do you offer hair styling?
    Not currently, but we’re happy to recommend trusted local hair stylists.

​

  • Do you sell gift vouchers?
    Yes, vouchers are available to any chosen amount all year round - purchase yours today via email.​

Makeup Lessons, Colour Analysis & Masterclasses​​

  • What’s the difference between a makeup lesson and a masterclass?
    A makeup lesson is a practical exclusive 1-2-1 session tailored to your features, skin type and goals. A masterclass is a small-group workshop focusing on seasonal trends, techniques, or topics performed on a live-model.

  • Can I book a combined package?
    We offer thoughtfully curated packages to combine lessons, colour analysis and image consultancy - please visit our services page for details.

  • How should I prepare for my makeup lesson or colour analysis?
    Please arrive with a clean makeup-free face where possible (no makeup). For lessons, feel free to bring your own makeup bag (optional) so we can work through your products together. For colour analysis, please bring a photo of your wardrobe so we can explore your existing colour choices alongside your personalised palette.

  • Can I bring a friend or family member to my appointment?

Skin & Safety​​

  • What if I have allergies or sensitive skin?
    We’ll ask you to kindly complete a client card on arrival noting any sensitivities and allergies. We use a variety of professional-grade products and can adapt our kit to suit your needs.

  • Do you work with all skin tones and types?
    Absolutely. We are an inclusive studio, with a professional kit and experience to suit skin tones, textures and needs.

​

  • Do I need to arrive makeup-free?
    Yes, if possible. If not, we’ll gently remove your makeup before starting your service.

  • I haven’t received a reply - what should I do?
